Beyond the Prompt: The Demise of AI-generated Content

Quality Content That Matters

In the new era of AI-generated content—it is essential that your company focuses on creating unique content that has something fresh and different to say that no one else is talking about.

It's how you win in a crowded market.

And yes, it is crowded! Here are some startling statistics demonstrating that your content needs to stand out and be relevant.

  • Each day an estimated seven million blog posts are created, representing 2.5 billion per year.

And these figures are expected to grow as content creation becomes easier and cheaper with generative AI.

How to stand out in a crowded market

Understand your potential customers' questions and figure out how you can uniquely solve their problems.

Here's a startling statistic: According to a survey by NP Digital, of the 1051 marketers surveyed, 922 were creating content using AI or a combination of AI/humans.

That is good news if your company is creating human-written content that is original and innovative.

If you're, on the other hand, relying on the easy content creation path of generative-AI, then the chances of ranking high in Google probably just got worse. Remember, there are only ten spots on page one of a Google search.

With any new technology, only use it to your advantage. In the case of generative AI, you'll need to explore how you can best use it for ideation and initial research, for example, and then utilize that knowledge with your teams as you map out the content that will resonate with your audiences.

If you know your audience's problems to be solved and your offerings can solve them, then prove it by taking the time to create human-created content. It’s truly that simple.

And remember, a good guideline for creating quality content is Google E-E-A-T, a component of Google's Search Quality Rater Guidelines. The acronym stands for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness and signals what Google and your potential customers are searching for—expert content that answers their questions authentically.

Be unique. Create quality content that matters to your audiences.
